Call of Duty returns to the Modern Warfare universe with the fourth instalment of the series launching on October 23, 2026. As always, there are varying Modern Warfare 4 editions to purchase with different bonuses.
The Modern Warfare 4 editions are the Standard Edition and Vault Edition. There’s no cross-gen version this year, because the game will not be playable on Xbox One or PS4. Instead, it will release on PC, Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and Nintendo Switch 2. Modern Warfare 4 will not be available on Game Pass at launch.

Placing a pre-order of the Standard Edition (£59.99/$69.99) of Modern Warfare 4 grants:

- Early access to the Open Beta (pre-order bonus)

The Modern Warfare 4 Vault Edition (£89.99/$99.99) comes with the same pre-order bonuses, along with exclusive rewards:

Those who have owned a Call of Duty game or played one via a subscription service starting from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) onwards are eligible for a 10% loyalty discount on the Modern Warfare 4 Vault Edition.
By placing a pre-order of either edition, the Hunter Killer Operator Skin will be available to use instantly in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone, and at launch in Modern Warfare 4.
A digital pre-order of Modern Warfare 4 guarantees you an Early Access spot in the beta, and a beta code isn’t required. Players who pre-order a physical edition of the game will get a beta code upon purchase.
It’s unknown when the beta will take place, but an open beta will follow the Early Access segment, where anyone can participate.
