The long-awaited Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection has revealed its full line up of games at Gamescom 2025. The collection plans to remaster many of the original Mortal Kombat titles, bringing the beginning of the franchise back to life in a new light.
With the Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection, fans of the series both old and new will be able to play dated titles all in one place, with better graphics and controls. This includes the very first Mortal Kombat released back in 1992, all the way to the Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition, debuting in 2003.
Experience the early days of Mortal Kombat
As shown through a trailer at Gamescom, 11 total Mortal Kombat entries will make up this bundle. The set of Mortal Kombat games that will be in the Legacy Kollection are as follows:
- Mortal Kombat (1992)
- Mortal Kombat II (1993)
- Mortal Kombat 3 (1995)
- Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 (1995)
- Mortal Kombat Trilogy (1996)
- Mortal Kombat 4 (1997)
- Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero (1997)
- Mortal Kombat Special Forces (2000)
- Mortal Kombat Advance (2001)
- Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance (2002)
- Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition (2003)
The Legacy Kollection will support online and local matches, and for the first time, players can jump into the rare WaveNet arcade version of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3.
A release date nor price has been announced for Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection, with the trailer informing fans that it’s “coming soon.” The Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection will be playable on PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
