Team17 has announced Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, and there will be a beta in 2026 before the game fully launches that same year.
Hell Let Loose launched in 2019 and is set during the Second World War. Hell Let Loose: Vietnam is on its way as a new standalone entry in the Hell Let Loose franchise. It is not a direct sequel or an expansion of the original game, instead providing a fresh experience.
All-out warfare
Prepare to deploy boots on the ground in the middle of the conflict of the Vietnam War, and fight your way through a defining event in modern history. Deploy over an extreme landscape of vast mountain gorges and thick jungle, where the North Vietnamese Armies clash with US Armed Forces. Pilot helicopters, drive patrol boats, and use historically accurate weapons in 50v50 player battles across six game modes. Expect to be swimming, climbing and fast crawling through various terrain, and even dragging downed allies to safety.
Play as either the North Vietnamese Army or US Armed Forces and choose from one of 19 specialised roles within a team made up of multiple squads. Join or lead infantry, recon, armour, mortar squads and helicopter units, using communication and teamwork. North Vietnamese forces can construct tunnel networks and make use of guerrilla warfare.
Despite new mechanics and content, gameplay aims to retain the Hell Let Loose feel that players know and love, while ensuring combat remains immersive. A Hell Let Loose: Vietnam trailer rewinds the clock to 1965, showing off some of the game’s weapons and environments.
Hell Let Loose: Vietnam will release on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 in 2026.
