Mafia: The Old Country is the latest entry in the highly acclaimed Mafia series. Those with an Xbox Game Pass subscription will want to know if Mafia: The Old Country will be on the service at launch.
It’s life or death in Mafia: The Old Country, as you have to prove your worth to the Torrisi crime family. Set in 1900s Sicily, you will explore all kinds of environments, from underground crypts and crumbling ruins, to lush vineyards and elaborate opera houses.
Is Mafia: The Old Country on Game Pass?
The answer is no, Mafia: The Old Country will not be available to play with an Xbox Game Pass subscription when it releases on August 8.
Since Mafia: The Old Country is not an Xbox first-party game and there hasn’t been any announcement on the game coming to the subscription service, it won’t be included, at least not at launch.
However, that doesn’t mean the title will never be on Game Pass as it could be added to the library of games in the future. Mafia: Definitive Edition previously joined Game Pass on August 13, 2024, for example, making it playable for those with an active subscription on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.

If you want to play Mafia: The Old Country on day one, you’ll have to purchase the title or place a pre-order. The Standard Edition comes in at ยฃ44.99, while the Deluxe Edition goes for ยฃ54.99.
Placing a pre-order of Mafia: The Old Country Standard Edition or Deluxe Edition will see you receive the Soldato Pack, featuring in-game cosmetics and a helpful Charm. More pre-purchase bonuses are tied to the Deluxe Edition which you can find here.
