Mortal Kombat 1 has a huge roster of fighters that only continues to grow. An upcoming crossover will see Homelander from The Boys television series join the Mortal Kombat universe. If you want to unlock Homelander when he becomes available in Mortal Kombat 1, we’ve got all the details.
Lately, Homelander has been keeping busy in the video games industry. Call of Duty launched a collaboration with The Boys back in July, bringing a Homelander operator to the battlefield. He is now preparing for a different kind of fight in Mortal Kombat 1.
How to unlock Homelander in Mortal Kombat 1
To unlock Homelander as a playable character, you need to purchase the Kombat Pack DLC.
The Kombat Pack includes the Johnny Cage character skin, “featuring voice and likeness of actor and martial artist Jean-Claude Van Damme” (available now.) You’ll also get access to 6 new post-launch DLC playable characters and 5 new post-launch Kameo Fighters.
Those who own the Kombat Pack will get one week of early access to all DLC playable characters, too.
Here are all the characters and Kameo Fighters that feature in the Kombat Pack:
DLC Playable Characters (All Coming Post-Launch)
- Omni-Man (Invincible)
- Quan Chi
- Peacemaker (DC’s Peacemaker)
- Ermac
- Homelander (The Boys)
- Takahashi Takeda
DLC Kameo Fighters (All Coming Post-Launch)

Purchasing the Kombat Pack won’t be cheap as it is priced at £34.99/$39.99. Ultimately, it’s your decision on whether or not the content in the DLC is worth its price tag.
At the time of writing, a release date hasn’t been assigned to Homelander, but his arrival is expected to be in spring 2024.
