During the 38th Annual Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards ceremony, held on June 21, 2025 in California, a new Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds trailer was shown, giving a first-look at SpongeBob and his best buddy Patrick in the upcoming racing game.
Dart through Bikini Bottom as SpongeBob and Patrick who cruise the ocean floor in the Patty Wagon. Expect to pass the Chum Bucket as you crash through the doors of the Krusty Krab, where Squidward can be found unenthusiastically working his post. Be sure to avoid a huge mechanical Plankton on your way to the Jellyfish Fields.
The end of the SpongeBob trailer teases even more crossovers coming to Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. Those are with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem and Avatar Legends. No footage of what the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem or Avatar Legends collaborations will entail was shown.

Two more crossovers are expected to be announced in the lead up to the launch of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. Unless any leaks emerge, it’s anybody’s guess as to who else could be joining the already diverse character roster.
Start your engines and prepare to race across land, sea, air, space, and time on the 24 main tracks and 15 CrossWorlds that make up Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds when it hits PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch on September 25, 2025.
