Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 update adds new suits and PS5 upgrades

If you needed an excuse to start another Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 playthrough, or boot up the game to simply swing around New York City, a new Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 update has introduced two free suits to freshen up Spider-Man’s look.

Apart from adding new suits to Spider-Man’s collection, the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 patch has rolled out quality of life improvements on console.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 update (July 28)

In a post via the official Insomniac Games X account, it was revealed that two new suits have arrived inย the latest Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 update.

One suit is called Fresh Start, and matches the appearance of the suit worn in the Spider-Man: Brand New Day film. The second look shrouds the protagonist in aย Marvel Tokon: Fighting Soulsย suit, which looks just like the outfit that is set to appear in the upcoming Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls fighting game.

The two suits do contrast, as the Fresh Start look resembles what you’d expect to see from a classic Spider-Man skin, while the Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls suit is anime-style.

Back in June, it was confirmed that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 would get a skin to mark the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. However, the Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls suit was absent from that announcement, but it’s a welcome addition nonetheless.

That’s not all, the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 update also brings Enhanced PSSR support for PS5 Pro owners, as well as a Power Saver mode.

Next up from Insomniac Games is the highly anticipated release of Marvel’s Wolverine, which will tell an original story where the fate of humans and mutants hangs in the balance, and of Wolverine’s forgotten past.
