The developers of REPO are always rolling out new ways to keep the horror game fresh while sticking to its roots that are grounded in absurdity. You never know where REPO is going to go next, because nobody could have guessed kart racing.
Karts have already featured in REPO and are used to navigate the world. Since their debut, karts have received various tweaks, such as adding storage to vehicles, the ability for them to receive damage, along with movement improvements.
What is the REPO racing mode?
The mode, which will be separate from the traditional REPO experience and sees the winner become King of the Losers. Unlike the core game, you are battling it out against your friends in the races.
You will drop down onto the track and control your kart in first person, where you will be able to drift, boost, and navigate objects and moving platforms. You will chase a floating crown, which will be awarded to the winner of the race. There are no respawns, so if you fall off the map, you’re out of the race, but this also means you can push your friends off the course.

The REPO kart mode will arrive with the upcoming cosmetic update, which will introduce more customisation options, as well as walkie-talkies, additional shops, and more. However, the REPO cosmetic update release date is still unknown, as the developers have stated that it’s bigger than anticipated.
In the meantime, the official semiwork YouTube channel has shown off an early look at kart racing in REPO. This includes a peek at the high-speed gameplay, how tracks will work, and the dark environment shrouding them.
