The demo was released back in August 2024, and it has received major updates since. Pieces of the Past will fully launch on November 17, 2025, on Steam. The developers go by the name of 9HP Studios, and Catoptric Games is the publisher.

In Pieces of the Past, you play as Lily, a young adult gifted with an ability many of us probably wish we had: repairing memories. With that ability, you can fix broken items in this cosy puzzle adventure to uncover hidden family secrets. The themes the story of this game relates to are family, reconciliation, personal growth, and nostalgia. Each item you repair via a variety of unique puzzles unravels a piece of family history, taking you on a deeper dive into the motivations and experiences of each family member.
Lily’s journey of understanding and healing involves her confronting the past. Every puzzle brings about a new revelation, and every memory helps Lily to rebuild the bonds of her family and shape her future.
Expect to explore a beautifully crafted antique shop, fitting with the theme of personal history. All of this is wrapped in a cute, warming art style and colour palette, which should make solving each puzzle even more relaxing.
