It’s the final season of Warzone as we know it, before the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. The current Warzone meta weapon for long range battles is the Merrick 556, and with the best attachments, you’ll have the loadout you need in Season 6.
Whether you’re going for high-kill games on Rebirth Island or dropping into Verdansk, this Merrick 556 loadout prioritises accuracy and range. This build also makes use of the default iron sight, but if you prefer an optic, you can swap out an attachment for the Willis 3x sight.
Warzone Merrick 556 attachments
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel: Reinforced Barrel
- Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
- Fire Mod: Recoil Springs
- Magazine: Extended Mag II

The best Merrick 556 loadout must use the Monolithic Suppressor because of the increased bullet velocity and damage range, while keeping your shots hidden from detection on the mini map. Pairing this with the Reinforced Barrel further enhances bullet velocity and damage range to add to the firepower of the gun at range.
When it comes to an underbarrel, the Vertical Foregrip significantly improves horizontal recoil control, while the Recoil Springs boost both horizontal and vertical recoil control. Finally, use the Extended Mag II on the Merrick 556 to add to your magazine capacity without being hit with any significant detriments.
Since the Merrick 556 is an assault rifle, it’s suited to combat at range. Therefore, you should pair it with a weapon such as the C9 submachine gun, which continues to thrive in close-quarter combat.
In the coming weeks, Warzone will get a new Haven’s Hollow Resurgence map and Black Ops 7 weaponry. A popular change will also see Wild Cards removed and Overkill enabled by default in battle royale modes.
