Schedule 1 Cartel update gets new release window

schedule 1 cartel update

After numerous delays, the Schedule 1 Cartel update has received another release window. Fans of the game don’t have much longer to wait, as the update is preparing to hit the beta branch on Steam.

The Cartel update is the first update the community had the chance to vote on. Players could choose between a Police Expansion update, a Shrooms update, or a Rival Cartel update, with the latter being the most popular option. The arrival of the Cartel in Hyland Point is expected to add a new weapon in the form of a shotgun, and a fresh challenge to your narcotics empire.

In a post on X, Schedule 1 solo developer Tyler, revealed that the highly anticipated Cartel update is now “98% done.” The content drop will be playable via the beta branch of Schedule 1 “in the next day or two,” but it’s unknown when it will exit beta and make its way to the full game.

Originally, the Schedule 1 Cartel update was supposed to arrive before the end of July. Then, it was meant to be available earlier this week, but that deadline was also missed. Tyler acknowledges this is his announcement on X, stating that he’ll “try to be a bit more accurate with my timelines for future updates.”

Looking ahead, it’s likely that another vote will take place to decide what the next major Schedule 1 update will be. However, we will have to wait and see how the presence of the Cartel plays out, first.
