Grounded 2 was announced at the Xbox Games Showcase that took place in June 2025. The co-op survival adventure is set to build off the foundation of its predecessor by debuting new mechanics, overhauling the skill system, as well as adding more ways to establish your base. To ensure your PC can handle all that Grounded 2 has to throw at you, take a look at the system requirements
Compared to the original game, Grounded 2 really steps up in the hardware department, meaning any rig that met the first game’s recommended specs may not be anywhere near what’s needed to meet the recommended requirements in the sequel. With that said these specs won’t be much of a problem for modern systems. If your hardware is behind, the minimum requirements are lower than that of many modern games, so even older devices should be able to get Grounded 2 up and running.
Grounded 2 PC system requirements
Minimum requirements
- OS: Windows 10/11 with updates
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 / Intel i5-8400
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: AMD RX 5700 / Nvidia GTX 1070 / Intel Arc A580
- DirectX: Version 12

Recommended requirements
- OS: Windows 10/11 with updates
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X / Intel i7-10700K
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: AMD RX 6800 XT / Nvidia RTX 3080
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: 40 GB available space

The storage space required for Grounded 2 is 40 GB, significantly higher than the mere 8 GB needed to play the original Grounded. The world of Grounded 2 is expected to be much larger and just as dangerous as its predecessor, so all that extra action in the relentless world calls for more from your PC.
Grounded 2 is inviting you to shrink once again when the game launches on July 29, 2025.
