Developed by Sledgehammer Games, Modern Warfare 3 is the latest entry in the Call of Duty franchise, making its debut in November 2023. Now, Modern Warfare 3 will allegedly be added to Xbox Game Pass.
At the Xbox Games Showcase, it was revealed that Black Ops 6 will be available on Game Pass on day one. This is the first time in history that a new Call of Duty release will be playable via Game Pass from launch day. Already, there has been a slew of rumours about other Activision games joining the service.
Call of Duty meets Game Pass
According to a report from Insider Gaming, Modern Warfare 3 is expected to join the growing library of Xbox Game Pass titles “later this month.” It’s believed that “the announcement could come as soon as today” which was supposedly the original plan for sharing the Xbox Game Pass price increases.
From this point onwards, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate costs $16.99 to $19.99 monthly, a $3 increase on the previous price tag. PC Game Pass subscriptions have also been bumped up from $9.99 to $11.99 per month.
Since the exact date for when Modern Warfare 3 could make its way to Xbox Game Pass is unclear, it’s all left up to speculation. With the Call of Duty League World Championship running from July 18-21, perhaps the game will roll out on the subscription service with the end of the Modern Warfare 3 competitive season.
An announcement should come directly from Xbox in the coming days, so make sure to stay tuned for further updates.
