Publisher and accessory-maker Nacon has returned with a dual-drop of two Xbox licensed controllers, the Colorlight and Revolution X Camo.
These two new controllers each sport a variety of features that have been built for different audiences. The Revolution X Camo has “over 50 physical and software customizable options,” says Nacon. As for the Colorlight, its 6 LEDs can light up the night with “a quintillion colour options.”
Controller chronicles
The Revolution X Camo is targeted at pro players, offering various adjustable settings. With the use of a dedicated app, button mapping, thumbstick sensitivity adjustments, and the ability to set stick dead zones are all on deck.
With this being a fully wired controller (with a 9.8ft/3m braided cable,) there’s also no worrying about the latency that comes with wireless options. This also includes the three system buttons found on the Xbox Series controller which includes the Xbox button, view, menu, and share buttons as well. There’s also a 3.5mm headphone jack to plug in your headphones or a headset.
This option goes for an MSRP of USD $74.00 at Walmart. So, for more budget-conscious players who may not need all the extra features, that’s where the Colorlight comes in.
The Colorlight is also a wired controller (with the same cable length and 3.5mm headphone jack) and features a translucent shell, along with 6 bright LEDs that can be customised to fire off a vivid array of colour.
There are four lighting effects and three scrolling speeds that add to the personalisation aspect of the controller. Like its pro-oriented sibling, the Colorlight sports support for a dedicated app to handle all of the customisations.
As mentioned before, the Colorlight is the cheaper of the two, coming in at an MSRP of USD $39.99 at GameStop.
Both of these controllers are officially licensed by Microsoft and are compatible across Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PCs. No matter where you game in the Xbox-verse, you’ll be able to take advantage of these gamepads.
