It was announced last month that Roblox would finally arrive on PlayStation consoles, allowing PS4 and PS5 owners to access all that the game has to offer.
It’s taken a long time for Roblox to make its way to PlayStation. Roblox first became available on PC way back in 2006. It then began to roll out on mobile in 2012 and on Xbox in 2016. It’s surprising that PlayStation players have had to wait this long, but the devs seem to be following a pattern of long releases between platforms.
Roblox is arriving on PlayStation 4 and 5 this month
Roblox will make its PlayStation debut on October 10, 2023. More specifically, it’s expected to hit the store at 6pm BST/ 1pm ET. You can add the game to your wishlist as a reminder of its release.
When the time comes, all you have to do is head over to the PS4/PS5 store, where you can download Roblox for free. However, there is an in-game currency named Robux which you can buy with real money and spend on various cosmetics and boosts.
The types of Roblox games that are available are endless. From platformers, to horror, and even RP, there’s something for everyone. The vast majority of experiences are focused on multiplayer, so you can expect to see other users and of course, play with your friends.
Since Roblox is cross-platform, you can team up with players on Xbox, PC, and mobile. If you already have a Roblox account, all you have to do is sign in with your existing details when you first open up the app on console to transfer your profile to PlayStation.
