The Texas Chain Saw Massacre release date is creeping closer and closer. Crossplay and cross-progression are features everyone hopes for in modern multiplayer games, so will The Texas Chain Saw Massacre have it?
Developed by some of the minds behind the Friday The 13th game, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is expected to be a terrifyingly gruesome experience.
Does The Texas Chain Saw Massacre have crossplay and cross-progression?
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre will have crossplay matchmaking, but not on all platforms. Players who are on PC (Steam and Windows,) Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5 will be able to play together. However, PlayStation 4 players will only be able to play with other PS4 players and Xbox One users are permitted to match up with solely Xbox One players.
By default, crossplay will be enabled when you begin playing The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. With crossplay on, you’ll see players from other platforms in public matches. If you prefer, you can always disable crossplay in the settings menu, but this means you’ll only matchmake with those on the same platform as you who have also turned off crossplay.
If you’re hoping for cross-progression in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, you’re out of luck. Your progress and saved files will all be tied to the individual platform you’re playing on.
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is set to launch on all platforms on August 18, 2023.
