If you happen to be a fan of dinosaurs and third-person shooters, Exoprimal could be the game for you. In this upcoming title, Capcom are preparing to transform you into an Exofighter, who’s job is to eliminate hoards of dinosaurs alongside your team. However, one roadblock that will be in your way is that Exoprimal won’t have cross-platform party chat at launch.
Exoprimal is getting ready to release on PC, as well as old generation and new generation consoles on July 14.
Exoprimal cross-platform party chat will be absent on day 1
In a series of tweets by the official Exoprimal Twitter account, it is confirmed that at launch, Exoprimal will support cross-platform matchmaking, but party creation will be specific to each platform.
The platforms that will be able to party chat with each other have been split into the following groups:
- Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Windows
- PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5
- Steam
Players have been reassured that the development team are “investigating ways to allow you to play together with your friends on other platforms, but this may take some time. They go on to say, “on top of that, we’ll soon be sharing the full Title Update roadmap with you!”
In today’s day and age, cross-platform party chat is a huge feature to be missing at launch. Hopefully, it will make its way to Exoprimal sooner rather than later.
