EA has officially confirmed that the next Battlefield game will in fact be Battlefield 6, with the title’s first reveal trailer set to premiere this week.
Not only has EA now confirmed the game title and scheduled the reveal trailer, but the team has also mentioned that there will be a Battlefield 6 Open Beta, where players can choose official playlists with Signature Weapons locked to class, or not. At the time of writing, it’s unknown when the Open Beta will take place, however rumours continue to indicate that it could happen as early as August.
Here comes Battlefield 6
The reveal trailer will premiere on the Battlefield YouTube channel on Thursday, July 24. The trailer will be shown at 8am PT / 11am ET / 4pm BST. Prior to the reveal, you can set a reminder for YouTube to send you a notification when the trailer goes live.
The description of the trailer reads, “prepare for the ultimate all-out warfare experience in Battlefield 6,” while the the 20 second teaser shows explosive action and dilapidated environments you would expect from a Battlefield title.
It’s been nearly four years since the launch of the last Battlefield game, the disastrous Battlefield 2042. In a bid to prevent history from repeating itself, the developers put Battlefield 6 through extensive playtesting with Battlefield Labs.
Despite numerous leaks, there are still many unknowns regarding what EA and DICE has up their sleeves for Battlefield 6, but the reveal trailer will give a first look at what is to come in the future of the franchise. (One can dream of a peek at a Battlefield battle royale.)
