Hi-Fi Rush was first released in 2023 to high acclaim, winning the Best Audio Design award at 2023’s The Game Awards, Best Animation at the 2024 BAFTA Games Awards, among more nominations. Three years later, the beat hasn’t stopped, as the rhythm action-platformer is getting physical editions, with pre-orders now live.
Despite the success of Hi-Fi Rush, the studio behind the title, Tango Gameworks, was at risk of being shut down by Microsoft before Krafton swooped in to acquire the studio and its IP. From August 2024, it was announced that digital storefronts would slowly be updated to reflect the change, while it went official in-game on December 4, 2024.
Hi-Fi Rush physical editions and contents
The Hi-Fi Rush physical console release will come in three editions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles:
Rhythm Edition ($39.99)
Includes the physical game disc, standard case, booklet, three DLC costume packs, and further in-game character costumes.
Smidge Edition ($69.99)
Includes everything in the Rhythm Edition, plus a three-disc soundtrack featuring developer liner notes, and a custom storage box in the theme of the character, Smidge.
Project Armstrong Edition ($174.99)
The most expensive physical version of the game, but it features the most rewards for the ultimate collectors. The Project Armstrong Edition includes everything in the Smidge Edition, alongside a miniature replica of Chai’s guitar, an 8-inch plush of the robot 808, a 90-page hardcover art book, a spinning MP3 player pin badge, and a numbered certificate of authenticity.

Pre-orders for all three Hi-Fi Rush editions are live now until March 1, 2026, exclusively over on the Limited Run Games official website. Physical editions are expected to ship between July 1, 2026, to September 30, 2026.
