A whole host of new weapons entered the Warzone loot pool following its integration with Black Ops 7. Unsurprisingly, a new meta has emerged, and the MXR-17 is one of the best assault rifles to add to your Warzone loadout in Season 01.
The main attraction of the Warzone Season 01 update is the launch of a new Resurgence map, Haven’s Hollow. Other updates include Verdansk map changes in the form of two new points of interest, the removal of the Overkill wild card from battle royale modes, playlists with open matchmaking where skill is minimally considered, a revamp to the perk system, and so much more.

The Monolithic Suppressor keeps your gunfire hidden from enemy detection on the mini-map, while increasing bullet velocity and damage range. Pairing this with the 17″ Greaves Scourge Barrel raises both horizontal and vertical recoil control, along with bullet velocity, significantly contributing to the overall accuracy of the gun.
The Rhodes Drum Mag widens the magazine ammunition capacity of the assault rifle, without hitting the loadout with any large detriments. As for the Winch Stock, this is useful for enhancing vertical and horizontal recoil control even further.
Complete your Warzone MXR-17 loadout with your favourite optic, but the EAM XL Reflex is a recommended sight for its precision and accuracy.
Since the MXR-17 is designed for long range gunfights, you should pair it with a weapon that shines in close-quarter combat. The MPC-25 submachine gun is the best close range option in Warzone Season 01.
