Tired of Black Ops 7? BunnyOps is releasing in 2026

As far as shooters go, 2025 has treated fans to the likes of Arc Raiders, Battlefield 6, a major Escape From Tarkov update with its Steam launch, and the debut of Black Ops 7. Now, even rabbits are getting in on the action with the upcoming game, BunnyOps.

BunnyOps is a tactical PvP shooter where teamwork is key, and your bullets are actually acorns. Each map is fully destructible and incorporates gameplay events such as train wrecks and helicopter crashes, as well as modifiers like the removal of the HUD, asteroid attacks, and more.

Embrace the destruction

Perhaps the most interesting BunnyOps mechanic is that you can’t fire back when you are being fired at and must retreat to cover instead. Remember, the environment is fully destructible, so staying on the move and having backup from your squad is essential to your survival.

Here are the three classes that will be playable at launch, along with their official descriptions according to the BunnyOps Steam page:

  • Drone Operator: They shine in attack and defence modes; if their trusty submachine gun firepower proves insufficient, however, they can always call in a tactical hummingbird-operated drone to rain down acorn chaos from the skies.
  • Assault Specialist: This class protects teammates with a ballistic shield, then switches to a pinecone shotgun once they come into their wheelhouse of close-range combat.
  • Reconnaissance Officer: Best when deployed for covert manoeuvres and sneak attacks, these recon officers are armed with a silenced pistol and can become invisible thanks to their camo gear.

Along the way, you will collect carrots that are used to customise your rabbit to give your character some extra flair on the battlefield.

The BunnyOps release date is expected to be 2026, but a specific launch window has not yet been narrowed down. In the meantime, the game can be added to your Steam wishlist.
