Major Schedule 1 updates are decided by players through a community vote. The vote takes place in-game, where fans can select their preferred content drop from three options. The winner of the second Schedule 1 community vote was Shrooms, and it has been confirmed that the game will get its first Halloween update.
The first community vote was between the addition of the Cartel, a police expansion, and the introduction of Shrooms. The Cartel won the first community vote, resulting in the Benzies family joining the game through a new storyline. Shrooms have now made a comeback by winning the second vote.

TVGS confirmed that Shrooms won with over 269,000 votes. The option to add Drivers came in second with 139,000 votes, and Fishing received 85,000 votes.
Shrooms will be the fourth drug type added to the game, following various weed strains, meth, and coke. Separating itself from existing drug types, Shrooms will have a unique production process. It has been confirmed that the update will also include:
- A new supplier.
- New Shrooms-specific production equipment and tools.
- Some new multi-use production equipment, which can be used for Shrooms as well as some of the existing drugs.
- New effects and ingredients.
- New customers.
As for when you’ll be able to add Shrooms to your product list, the update is expected to land in Schedule 1 sometime between mid-October to late November this year. That’s not all, there will be a Halloween update that will launch on October 31, 2025, but it’s unknown what that will entail.
If your preferred choice didn’t win the community vote, those choices will be available again in a future vote.
