After months of speculation, EA officially confirmed that the next Battlefield game will in fact be Battlefield 6. Key details about Battlefield 6 have now leaked, including its release date, platforms, and price consumers will have to pay for each edition of the game.

EA recently mentioned an Open Beta for Battlefield 6 is planned, but it’s unknown when the Open Beta will take place at the time of writing. Rumours indicate that it could happen as early as August, but now we are looking ahead to the full launch.

The wait is almost over

According to billbil-kun, a credible leaker over at Dealabs magazine,Battlefield 6 will be released on October 10, 2025. The game will be available in both Standard and Phantom Editions.”

The report continues, “the Phantom Edition does not correspond to a Collector’s version. Rather, it is a Deluxe Edition, exclusively digital, including additional in-game content. No early access will be granted: both editions will be available simultaneously on October 10, 2025.”

Dealabs also reveals that old generation hardware is being left behind, as Battlefield 6 will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. It’s thought that the Standard Edition of Battlefield 6 will be priced at €69.99 on PC and €79.99 on console, while the Phantom Edition is believed to come in at €99.99 on PC and €109.99 on console.

Pre-orders for Battlefield 6 are expected to begin on July 31, 2025, just days after the reveal trailer, which will be shown off on July 24, 2025. After the damage done by the previous entry to the franchise, Battlefield 2042, the developers have a lot of work to do to win over players who may be hesitant to place a pre-order this time around.
