Calling all fighters, the next Tekken 8 update is just moments away, but before the patch goes live, the servers will have to go under a little maintenance. If you want to know when you’ll be able to hop into the arena again, take a look at the update schedule in your part of the world.
During the time that the servers are down, online content will become inaccessible until the developers put them back up.
Tekken 8 server maintenance and when they’ll come back online
The server maintenance schedule in your region is as follows:
- April 15 (PDT) 6:30pm-12am
- April 15 (ET) 9:30pm-3am
- April 16 (UTC) 1:30am-7am
- April 16 (BST) 2:30am-8am
- April 16 (JST) 10:30am-4pm
As for the contents of the update, you can expect to see character balancing and bug fixes. Notably, Azucena will go under the knife once again, with the recovery frames getting increased by “5F” and the forward movement distance at the end of the attack duration being reduced. Only time will tell just how effective this nerf will be.
Another key change will be made to the behaviour of Tornados. In version 1.03.01, tweaks were made to collision detection between characters and walls, causing issues when performing a Rage Art when using a Tornado too close to a wall. The adjustment caused other combinations to become inconsistent, so the development team has decided to revert the Tornado change back to the pre-version 1.03.01 state.
There are plenty of other fixes that are preparing to be deployed. The full Tekken 8 patch notes for the April 16 update can be viewed, here.
