Helldivers 2 stormed onto the scene on February 8, 2024 and a swarm of players have already enlisted to fight for freedom and spread democracy across the galaxy. If you’ve had some trouble with the servers, you are not alone. Arrowhead has now given an update on the Helldivers 2 server capacity difficulties.
Ever since launch, players have been working through various problems in Helldivers 2. With the title’s focus on multiplayer, server issues are the last obstacle you want to be faced with. There is a workaround for the ‘failed to join lobby’ error, but server capacity and running into a black screen is out of our hands.
Arrowhead share an update on Helldivers 2 server issues
A recent post via the official Helldivers 2 X account reads, “Despite our best efforts to increase server capacity to accommodate all of you who want to dive for Freedom, we are experiencing capacity issues. We are once more working without delay to improve the issue and we hope to have a fix in place as soon as possible. Thank you.”
Despite various server issues, Helldivers 2 quickly became more popular than the development team could’ve anticipated. The game has peaked at a little over 388,000 players so far on Steam, whereas the original Helldivers had an all-time peak of 6,691 on the same platform. That’s quite the difference, but we can assured that server issues are being addressed as quickly as possible.
As we wait for the Helldivers 2 servers to find their footing, or for a further update from the team behind the third-person shooter, consider checking out more of the latest news:
