Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor takes away the core Deep Rock Galactic (DRG) multiplayer experience in favour of sending a single dwarf to fight the dangers that lie in the caves. Perhaps the company are trying to save money on wages, who knows? If you’re a fan of Deep Rock Galactic, or if it’s an auto-shooter that’s caught your eye, you may be waiting for the release date of DRG: Survivor.
The highly anticipated spin-off got a closed play test back in June, but we haven’t heard anything about the game since. So, when can we expect to go on our next mining adventure?
Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor release date
According to the game’s official Steam page, the planned launch is 2023, but no specific date has been given. You can add the upcoming title to your wishlist and receive a notification when it goes live.
When DRG: Survivor does arrive, it will be in early access and include the following:
- 4 playable characters
- +30 weapons
- +10 enemy types
- 1-3 bosses
- 3-5 biomes
- Multiple mission types
- A deep progression system of perks, artifacts and upgrades
Although Survivor takes DRG on a different path, you’ll still need to take out bugs in procedurally generated caves, upgrade your gear, and rush back to the safety of the Drop Pod if you’re still standing at the end of your mission.
With just a few months left of the year, we can expect a Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor announcement soon, either with a specific release date or a delay.
