Will Contraband Police get multiplayer or co-op man getting arrested at the border

The year is 1981 and you’re a border guard in Karikatka, a communist region. Since the game launched, you’ve had to fight against smuggling and corruption alone, but you do get some help from a handful of NPCs along the way. If you’re hoping that Contraband Police will get multiplayer or co-op, we’ve got all the details, below.

Multiplayer is a feature many players wish for, no matter what genre of games you enjoying playing. With many modern titles having crossplay, we can now team up with fellow gamers across Xbox, PlayStation and PC systems.

Contraband Police multiplayer isn’t hidden in the cargo

On March 7 2023, a fan expressed their desire for a multiplayer mode via the Contraband Police’s official discussion page on Steam. The developers responded to the post with: “Right now we have no plans for multiplayer, we’re focusing on a single-player experience.”

It appears that multiplayer is high on player’s wishlists as another enquired about the addition of the mode in a similar discussion post on March 20, 2023. In response, the developers reaffirmed that “[they] have no plans for multiplayer.”

You’ll have to continue your duties solo, as the team over at Crazy Rocks are prioritising single-player. However, that doesn’t mean there will never be a multiplayer mode in Contraband Police, but it is looking highly unlikely.

However, if the game ever gets official mod support, you never know what possibilities could be unlocked.
