Ark Survival Ascended delayed until October baby dinosaur in the wild

The upcoming remaster of Ark: Survival Evolved, known as Ark: Survival Ascended, has been delayed until October.

The studio was hit with some controversy after they revealed that the remaster was going to be a free update, but they then backtracked and decided to charge $50 for it, following the delay of Ark 2. Now, the price has been adjusted and ARK: Survival Ascended will launch at an early access price point of $44.99. At full launch, there will be a discount, reducing the price to $39.99.

Ark: Survival Ascended delay announcement

Here is what Studio Wildcard had to say about the decision to push back the remaster:

“After much deliberation, we’ve decided to delay the launch of ARK: Survival Ascended to later this year and ship the title on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC in October 2023.

We’ve found it challenging working with Unreal Engine 5.2, but at the same time, it is incredibly exciting. We’re discovering new ways each day to push the technology to the next level; combined with the work needed to support a fully cross-platform-moddable game ecosystem on consoles and PC, it’s clear that we’ll need a bit more time.”

In addition, the team has decided to separate The Island and Scorched Earth release date. Scorched Earth will now arrive in December this year, with Ragnarok and Aberration to follow in Q1 of 2024. More maps will release beyond then.
