The open-world of Hogwarts Legacy is filled with secrets waiting to be uncovered, but wouldn’t all that action and exploration be better with friends? Many Hogwarts Legacy fans seem to think so, leaving us hoping for some sort of multiplayer or co-op mode. If you’re wondering if Hogwarts Legacy will ever introduce multiplayer, you can find everything we know so far, below.
When Hogwarts Legacy first launched, it broke viewership records on Twitch and 12 million copies were sold in the first 2 weeks. Perhaps the addition of multiplayer could take the title to even greater heights.
Will Hogwarts Legacy get multiplayer or co-op modes?
Currently, Hogwarts Legacy is a single-player experience, with no multiplayer mode announced to be in the works by Avalanche Studios. If you’re feeling a little lonely, there’s plenty of NPCs for you to talk to, as well as various AI companions.
Its unknown if the developers will ever release multiplayer or co-op, but a mod is being made for PC players. Prominent modding group, The Together Team, have started working on a project known as ‘HogWarp.’ The mod is in early access, but various showcases on The Together Team’s Youtube channel are pretty promising. Most recently, multiplayer broom racing was shown off, along with outfit sync and 10 player capabilities.
HogWarp doesn’t yet have a release date, but it will be free to play at launch. For now, only Patreons of The Together Team can jump in.
Depending on the platform you play on, you may get to experience some form of Hogwarts Legacy multiplayer in the future.
