Street Fighter 6 open beta announced by Capcom

Capcom has announced a Street Fighter 6 open beta, allowing fans to dive into the game before its June 2 launch date. Get ready to cancel your weekend plans and discover everything you need to know about the upcoming beta, below.

Its worth noting that the open beta is even available to players who don’t have a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold subscription. However, you’ll need one if you want to continue playing when the game officially releases.

The open beta will feature the following content:

Modes:

  • Casual
  • Ranked Play
  • Open tournament
  • Battle Hub
  • Extreme Battle
  • Game Center
  • Training Mode

Characters:

  • Jamie
  • Chun-Li
  • Luke
  • Juri
  • Kimberly
  • Ken
  • Guile
  • Ryu

The game modes and characters included are exactly the same as the closed beta back in December 2022. Capcom assures players that the launch version will be “further adjusted and will feature updated character balance, etc.”

In order to play, you’ll need a Capcom ID that’s linked to the platform you’re playing on. If you don’t already have one, its recommended that you set one up before the launch of the open beta.

The open beta will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and on PC via Steam, with crossplay enabled. Its expected to go live on Friday, May 19 at 00:00 PT / 05:00 ET / 08:00 BST and conclude on Monday, May 22 at 00:00 PT / 05:00 ET / 08:00 BST.
