There are 6 weapon types in the game:
- Sword and Shield
- Long Sword
- Great Sword
- Hammer
- Light Bowgun
- Bow
The best weapon right now has to be the Sword and Shield. It is versatile due to its strength in both offence and defence, making it difficult to beat. The sword is capable of hitting quick shots against waves of enemies, but when the heat gets a little too much, you can easily take out the shield to block attacks.
The Sword and Shield is definitely suited to players who prefer to rush and chain together satisfying combinations. The fluid mobility also allows you to make the most of the pure slaying and defensive abilities.
On the other hand, if you prefer not to get up close and personal with the enemy, the Light Bowgun is the most viable long range weapon. The bullets are different depending on the bowgun and selecting bullets that are effective against specific monsters will make you unstoppable. Its precision and high damage capabilities will see you shred through enemy health from a safe distance.
