Xbox Series X owners will soon have a new way to customize their monolith-shaped system with official console wraps straight from Microsoft.
These new wraps will be available this November, and there’s three designs to choose from.
Decking out the tower
The new console wraps are made out of “engineered fabric” on the outside and “soft, silicone print material” on the inside. Also, they have a velcro enclosure to ensure that they securely fit onto the system.
Each design features “precision cut-outs” that make it easy to line-up and place over the console. It won’t damage the finish on the console, so if you decide to remove the wrap, it’ll be an easy peel.
The first three designs in the new collection are Arctic camo, Mineral camo, and a design inspired by Starfield. The estimated price of each is USD $44.99 and they will launch on November 10, 2023.
Microsoft confirms that these new console wraps for the Xbox Series X will also be accompanied by matching designs for the Xbox Series controller; albeit as a separate purchase. The price of the controllers has not yet been revealed.
The Xbox team is no stranger to giving fans the ability to deck out their tech. The Xbox Design Lab has been live for a few years, allowing customers to choose from a variety of colours and designs to create a custom-made Xbox controller. On the more retro side of things, one may recall the various official faceplates that were available for the Xbox 360, back in the day.
These official Xbox Series X console wraps from Microsoft are not the only way to switch up the look of the Series X, however. For some time now, popular skin-maker, dBrand has had a variety of designs available for the Series X and the Series S. Matching designs can also be applied to Xbox Series and Xbox One controllers.
