The Pokemon GO 2023 World Championship is just around the corner and to celebrate, you can get your hands on some free T-shirts for your avatar. Below, we’ll show you how to claim your cosmetics as soon as they go live, so you can catch Pokemon in style.
As Trainers battle it out to be crowned the Pokemon Go World Champion, new costumed Pokemon will also appear, as well as Passimian, the Teamwork Pokemon, will make its debut in the mobile game.
How to get World Championship T-shirts in Pokemon GO
There are two free T-shirts available to claim during the event, a yellow one and a grey one.
To get the yellow T-shirt for your avatar, you’ll have to tune in to the first day of the World Championship on August 11. During the broadcast, a code for the item will be shared which will be available to redeem globally. If you miss the live stream, the code is expected to be available on Pokemon Go’s social media channels, too.
To get your hands on a fresh grey T-shirt, all you have to do is pick it up from the in-app shop on August 11. The T-shirt will be free to claim, so there’s no need to worry about any extra costs.
The 2023 Pokemon GO World Championship is set to take place from August 11 to August 13, 2023, in Yokohama, Japan. You can watch all the action at 12:00am UTC each day via the official Pokemon GO Twitch channel.
