The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered was announced at Gamescom Opening Night Live as a pleasant surprise for fans, especially since it is a free upgrade for existing owners of The Witcher 3 game. It brings with it a range of updates and improvements to visuals, performance, gameplay, including enhanced combat and monster behaviour, and more.
Modder HalkHogan, the creator behind The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project, confirmed that they’ve been collaborating with CD Projekt RED on the remastered version of The Witcher 3.
The HD Reworked Project is one of the biggest mods in the storied history of The Witcher 3, with 725,714 downloads since the mod launched over a decade ago.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered features HD Reworked Project mod
In an announcement on Nexus Mods, HalkHogan says, “I am cooperating with CDPR on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered and my work will be officially available in the game on September 29th (on PC and consoles).”
This means that players will no longer need to install the HD Reworked Project once the remaster becomes available.
“Almost all in-game characters, monsters, animals, vegetation, armors, and equipment for Geralt & Roach, and a large part of the environment have been reworked,” explains HalkHogan.
This also isnโt the first time CD Projekt RED has teamed up with HalkHogan. The HD Reworked Project was one of the community mods brought into The Witcher 3โs next-gen update.
