Almost a decade after its initial launch, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands is expected to get an upgrade from Ubisoft with 60FPS 4K and a brand new mission.
Ghost Recon: Wildlands was first released in 2017 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and supported with new content for two years. Set in Bolivia, the region has fallen into the hands of a dangerous drug cartel. You must lead your team of elite soldiers on missions to prevent the collapse of Bolivia.
A return to the Wildlands
Initially posted on the Ghost Recon: Wildlands subreddit, a user noted a graphic that appeared on the Xbox Game Hub, showing that a Definitive Edition will include a major update known as Last Rites. This includes a new mission and a 60FPS 4K update.
Now, a Ghost Recon: Wildlands Definitive Edition has quietly been listed on Xbox and PlayStation stores. It’s listed at £84.99/$99, or it’s included with a Ubisoft+ Premium subscription.

According to the Redditor, the offer expires on August 7, 2026, so it could only be a matter of time before Ubisoft officially announces the upgraded edition of Ghost Recon: Wildlands. This also coincides with the Xbox store listing, which states that the Nightfall Protocol and Cold Eye Packs will be available in August 2026.
With no official word from Ubisoft, it’s unknown at this time if players who already own Ghost Recon: Wildlands or its existing expansions will receive a discount on the upgraded Definitive Edition on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
