Prepare for Motorfest in The Crew 2 free weekend

The Crew 2 motorbike

With The Crew Motorfest coming down to barely two months before launch, Ubisoft’s Ivory Tower team is getting its last swing in with The Crew 2.

In addition to just opening up the servers to Season 9, the team is also encouraging newcomers to join in with a free weekend of play—from July 6 to July 10.

Free oil change

During this free weekend, newcomers will be able to let loose in the rendition of the USA within The Crew 2, competing in events that span land, air and sea.

Collect a variety of wheels, wings, and wake-makers, most of which will be transferable to The Crew Motorfest as the new game will allow returning players to retain a lot of their favourites from their TC2 garage.

While a new player certainly won’t be able to cover everything within The Crew 2 in a single weekend, at least their progress won’t be lost if they choose to jump into The Crew Motorfest later on.

Even then, you might be inspired to pick up a copy of The Crew 2 first. Ubisoft is currently running a sale via Steam and the Ubisoft Connect store, knocking the price of the Standard Edition down to a mere $5.00 on PC. For console players, of course, there’s also the option to grab a cheap used copy.

For those that do choose to stick around or owners of the full game, Season 9 of The Crew 2 is officially underway. This will carry the roster of new content right into the launch of Motorfest. It includes a new race creator tool, four new stories and rewards, a new LIVE Xtrem Series, and new cars, plus some returning ones.

The Crew 2 Season 9 roadmap and free weekend

As seen in the roadmap, Season 9 will conclude on September 6—just one week before the launch of the new game. Indeed, the team at Ivory Tower is keen to transition between the two titles with almost no real delay.

The Crew 2 free weekend is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
