Rematch is here to rival the EA FC series, bringing a fresh take on the football genre. However, the question stands, does Rematch have crossplay?
Crossplay is one of the most highly requested features in modern multiplayer games. It allows players across all platforms to play together, without platform limitations standing in the way.
Does Rematch have crossplay?
The short answer is, no. Rematch didn’t launch with crossplay when the title hit storefronts on June 19, 2025, but it will arrive in a future update.
Studio, Sloclap explained its next steps for Rematch, pointing towards the roll out of crossplay being the team’s “absolute priority.”
“We understand many of you were looking forward to playing Rematch across platforms from day one. We did our utmost to include crossplay at launch, but Rematch is the studio’s first crossplay title, and we faced unforeseen technical complexities which prevented us from having this feature ready in time.”
In relation to a timeline for when players can expect crossplay to be in Rematch, the developers “already have a basic working version from a technical standpoint, but we need to implement the relevant interfaces, before debugging and polishing it, and finally passing console certifications successfully – all this takes time but we are doing our best to move forward quickly.”

Crossplay aside, Sloclap are also working on identifying the causes behind lag, stuttering, and frame drops that some players are experiencing. Moreover, issues with server and client desync and game-breaking bugs are at the top of the list to improve game stability.
Despite the absence of crossplay and bugs impacting gameplay, Rematch already surpassed one million players in its first day. When crossplay and subsequent updates arrive, there’s no doubt that Rematch will continue to thrive.
We will update this article when crossplay goes live in Rematch. Until then, consider checking out more of our latest content:
