Let the games begin

The Summer Game Fest stream on YouTube has Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and Mafia: The Old Country in its tagged products. It’s safe to say we can expect them those titles to crop up at some point!

Geoff Keighley has taken the stage right on time. The announcements start now:

  • New game announcement from indie studio, Cold Symmetry. It’s Mortal Shell 2 and it’s coming to PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 in 2026. It’s already available to wishlist on Steam.
  • After a very short Fortnite Galactic Battle teaser (blink and you’ll miss it,) Hideo Kojima has joined the stage to talk about Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.
  • A cutscene from the game shows Neil and Lucy in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. Hideo Kojima is speaking, but is avoiding giving too much away, but Neil and Lucy have a strong and unique connection.
  • Raw Power Games has given a first look at Chronicles Medieval, launching in Early Access in 2026.
  • Hatsune Miku, Joker, and Ichiban Kasuga are in Sonic Racing Crossworlds, along with a Minecraft crossover. Sonic Racing Crossworlds has been confirmed to have crossplay.
  • Code Vein 2 announced to be arriving in 2026.
  • A short End of Abyss trailer from Section 9 Interactive. It’s coming to the Epic Games Store and consoles in 2026.
  • Troy Baker is the voice actor in Mouse: P.I. for Hire, coming to consoles (including last generation) and PC in 2025.
  • A real-time strategy game from the world of Game of Thrones? Yes please! Game of Thrones: War for Westeros gets its world premiere.
  • Atomic Heart 2 is in development at Mundfish. It’s a spiritual successor to the first game and will have a bigger emphasis on RPG elements. Mundfish also has The Cube, a new game coming out that is set in the universe of Atomic Heart.
  • Rocket Raccoon and She-Hulk announced for Marvel Cosmic Invasion World.
  • Onimusha Way of The Sword coming in from Capcom, slated to release in 2026. It was announced back in December and will be playable at Gamescom. The trailer shows off the swordplay.
  • Take Control of a puppet in Felt That Boxing. It blends comedy and arcade fighting.
  • A murder mystery action game from Square Enix that will pit wolves and lambs against each other to discover clues in Killer Inn. A closed beta will be coming to Steam soon.
  • A new Arc Raiders trailer is here to continue the hype, but it won’t be shadow dropped as hoped. Instead, it will be out on October 30, 2025.
  • Dune: Awakening has shown off a new trailer ahead of its June 10, 2025 release date.
  • Chrono Odyssey is getting a playtest on Steam from June 20-22, 2025.
  • Focus Entertainment shows a trailer for MIO: Memories in Orbit which we actually got to preview! A demo is out now as part of Steam Next Fest.
  • Co-op journey for two, Out of Words is coming in 2026. The handcrafted characters have no mouths and must work together to navigate the turbulent world.
  • Mafia: The Old Country gets a new trailer.
  • An adorable two player experience, LEGO Voyagers has been announced. It will have a Friends Pass, similar to the one that is supported in Split Fiction, where only one player has to own the game to be able to play it with a friend.
  • Nicktoons and the Dice of Destiny got a short teaser, presented by the voice actor of Sandy Cheeks and featuring SpongeBob hacking through enemies.
  • Lies of P: Overture DLC has just been dropped across all platforms!
  • Doki Doki Literature Club meets Silent Hill in Fractured Blooms. An eerie trailer that gives something for horror fans to look forward to.
  • Blade and Soul Heroes, another quick look that doesn’t give too much away.
  • Pre-register for The Seven Deadly Sins: Origins right now, an open-world anime RPG.
  • Dinosaurs? That can only mean one thing, Jurassic World Evolution 3 and it will arrive on October 21.
  • Unravel the mysteries of a cursed island with a retro feel in Mina The Hollower, launching on October 31.
  • A VR Deadpool title is on its way, full of comedy and combat, with Neil Patrick Harris as Deadpool, neat!
  • Dying Light: The Beast will hit storefronts on August 22. The title can be pre-ordered now.
  • Mixtape takes you back to your teenage years, full of rebellion, adventure, and friendship. Despite being shown off before, no release date featured in the trailer.
  • Towa and the Guardians of the Secret Tree from Bandai Namco. It appears that a cast of characters are attempting to take down some kind of demon.
  • Made entirely by a solo developer, parkour and fight your way through an action-packed world in Acts of Blood, coming in the summer of 2026.
  • A long overdue reveal of Scott Pilgim Ex, launching in 2026. It’s a four player co-op adventure with plenty of combat.

  • Hitman: World of Assassination is also getting a crossover with the upcoming 007 First Light title. The crossover is available in Hitman right now, with the mission taking place in a casino in Paris, a homage to Casino Royale. If you play the mission, you will get a special reward in 007 First Light.
  • A party game from the world of LEGO that looks similar to Mario Party, probably why it’s called LEGO Party. It has 60 mini games and surprises will be thrown at you to be as disruptive as possible.
  • Wildgate is taking you to space to hunt for an artefact. An open beta begins on June 7.
  • Play alone or with a friend in Blighted. More about this game will come during the Day of the Devs showcase.

  • By a team of just eight over at Cubit Studios, Infinitesimals sees you fight mechanical bugs that come with futuristic tech.

  • Street Fighter 6 Fighter’s Edition is on the way, with new Season 3 content shown off.
  • Last Flag appears to pit two sides against one another to, you guessed it, capture a flag. The online multiplayer game is set in the 1970s.

  • Guild Wars 2 fans have a double XP event to take advantage of, live now.
  • Mongil Star Dive, another anime-style game that I have no idea what’s going on, but there’s an adorable cat. Sign ups for the closed beta are now live.
  • Battle your inner demons in this upcoming rogue-like, where the devil appears to be challenging you to complete weird and wonderful tasks in Into the Unwell.
  • Splitgate 2 has announced that it’s big surprise is a battle royale.
  • First known as “Project Century,” Stranger Than Heaven is from the creators of the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series.
  • Resident Evil is back and this time, it’s not a drill! Resident Evil Requiem will launch on February 27, 2026. It marks a shift in the franchise, taking the gameplay in a new direction. More will be revealed in the lead-up to the launch date.

That’s all folks, thank you for being here!
