After the disappointing news that GTA 6 has been delayed until May 26, 2026, Rockstar Games has deployed a fresh trailer for the upcoming entry in the Grand Theft Auto series. Trailer 2 acts as a first look at GTA 6 on console, with all the footage coming in from the PlayStation 5.
The first trailer was all about showing of the diverse and colourful world that is Vice City, while the theme of GTA 6 Trailer 2 is more about Jason and Lucia’s personal relationship. The trailer begins with Jason getting in his car to pick up Lucia from prison. In between, we see glimpses of their crimes. Although they pledge to start a new life together, it’s unknown if those crimes took place before or after Lucia is free from prison.
The official trailer description reads, “Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.”
Thanks to the trailer, fans now have a better picture of how the story will play out in GTA 6 and what sort of shenanigans you’ll be getting up to.
GTA 6 is slated to launch on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 on May 26, 2026. A PC release date remains unknown.
