Pokémon TV is preparing to return as an official YouTube channel

Pokémon fans across the globe were dealt a huge blow when Pokémon TV shut down in March of this year. It meant that Trainers were no longer able to watch their favourite Pokémon episodes, both new and old. Pokémon TV is now expected to make a comeback via YouTube.

Pokémon TV first hit our screens back in 2010 and the app was available to download through the Apple App Store, Google Play, Roku Channel Store, Amazon Appstore, Pokémon.com, and the Nintendo Switch eShop. The revamped experience is now expected to make YouTube its home.

Pokémon TV to get a dedicated YouTube channel

When the decision was made to close the doors on Pokémon TV, The Pokémon Company released the following statement:

“Thank you to all our fans who have enjoyed Pokémon TV over the years. The Pokémon TV app and website will sunset and the service will end on March 28, 2024. Beginning on January 8, 2024, fans will no longer be able to download the Pokémon TV app from the App Store, Google Play, Roku Channel Store, Amazon Appstore, Nintendo eShop, and Pokémon.com.”

However, not all is lost if these new details are anything to go by. As reported by Serebii, Pokémon TV is set to return as an official YouTube channel hosting full episodes starting December 6, 2024. At the time of writing, the full schedule and duration of uploads still remains up in the air.
