New NVIDIA PC App officially released

Nvidia has rolled out the titular NVIDIA App for PC that serves as a formal replacement to the longstanding GeForce Experience. It’s certainly an upgrade from the previous software, putting everything you need in one place.

This app takes many of the features from the old GeForce Experience application and puts them in a new, more visually appealing, sleeker environment. The Nvidia companion app has been in beta for some time, but now it’s a full release.

One app for all

The primary use of the Nvidia app is for GPU driver updates. Users can easily get patch notes, along with the ability to quickly reinstall a driver if any problems creep up.

Some graphics card settings that are found in the classic Nvidia Control Panel can also be adjusted in the Nvidia App, which offers a far more modern interface for adjusting such parameters.

More fine-tuning tools include the ability to enable GYSNC on compatible monitors, toggles for Nvidia Super Resolution (AI video enhancement when watching videos in your browser,) toggling for HDR, GPU tuning, and details on your PC’s components.

The all-important Nvidia Overlay is another feature that’s part of the app, allowing users to apply Nvidia Filters, record gameplay clips, and take screenshots.

Quick links to Nvidia’s other PC applications like GeForce NOW, Nvidia Broadcast, and more are also a click away.

Indeed, the Nvidia App is pretty much a Swiss army knife of software for those rocking RTX graphics cards. The app is available to download now free from Nvidia’s website. Unless you’re still running with a significantly retro GTX card, then you should be right at home with the new app.
