Spyro is a staple video game character and now more players than ever can go back to where it all started as the Spyro Reignited Trilogy is preparing to join Xbox Game Pass. The remakes within the trilogy are sure to appeal to both original fans and new players alike.
Earlier today, the Xbox Game Pass X account posted a clip of a chest that looks like it belongs in the world of Spyro. The post is captioned with “hey, uhh, who left this chest here?” and the official Spyro account responded with the eyes emoji, all but confirming the news.
Spyro joins the November Game Pass line up
Later on, an official Xbox Wire blog post confirmed that Spyro will in fact hit Xbox Game Pass with the Spyro Reignited Trilogy.
The trilogy features remakes of Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage!, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. It will be available to Game Pass Standard, Game Pass Ultimate, and PC Game Pass subscribers, for cloud, console and PC on November 12, 2024.
Although the developers of the remastered series of Spyro, Toys for Bob, split away from Activision in May 2024, their presence is still very much felt with Spyro making its way to Game Pass. Thanks to the release of the Spyro Reignited Trilogy in 2018, the fire around the beloved purple dragon reignited, with the remaster selling over 10 million copies.
With the Xbox Game Pass line up of games shuffling around all the time, it’s unknown how long Spyro’s adventure will stick around for.
