The Black Ops 6 grind is well and truly on with a double XP weekend. The initial plan for when double XP was supposed to end has changed due to a bug impacting XP earn rate.
With the game still in its infancy, double XP is the perfect chance for you to level up your weapons and make your way through the various prestige rewards. However, these benefits won’t last forever, so you’ll want to make the most of the limited time window while it lasts.
When does double XP end in Black Ops 6?
Black Ops 6 got its first round of double XP alongside the launch of Nuketown on November 1, 2024. This granted all players double level XP, double weapon XP, and double GobbleGum earn rate. Well, it was supposed to.
On November 2, Treyarch discovered and fixed an issue that occasionally limited the amount of double XP awarded to some players. As compensation, it was announced that the double XP period was to be extended until November 5 at 10am PT.
If you were one of those players that was awarded less XP than intended after a match, you should be able to more than make up for it with an entire extra day of double XP.
It’s safe to say that Black Ops 6 hasn’t been short on bugs, but the team behind the latest entry in the series has been hard at work squashing them. To view the known and resolved issues in multiplayer and Zombies, take a look at the dedicated Trello Board.
