For a while now, Halo Infinite has been in a tough spot, with little signs of improvement. However, 343 Industries remain positive and are eager to highlight that the support for the shooter isn’t dying down.

During the HCS Atlanta Major hosted by FaZe Clan, Senior Community Manager at 343 Industries, Unyshek, shared more details on the next Halo Infinite update which is scheduled to release on July 30. Two new modes will join the game, VIP will return from Halo 3 and Headhunter is back from Halo Reach.

Additionally, both the casual and competitive side will receive an overhaul, with a whopping 16 weapon changes and a grenade jumping movement mechanic. The Disruptor, for example, will return to its previous state where it’s able to deal damage over time.

To close the segment, Unyshek tells fans, “thank you for all the support, this year’s been pretty crazy.” He continues, “I know we started with an announcement of hey, we’re working on future projects, but I also want people to know we are continuing to support Halo Infinite, as you see with this update. We’re trying to do as much as we can, where we can, while we still have teams working on various projects here in the studio.”

For now, it appears that support for Halo Infinite isn’t going to stop, despite rumours that the studio was moving on and the series was being passed over to other teams. Since the launch of Halo Infinite, updates haven’t been arriving as thick and fast as the community hoped, but 343 Industries are trying to shut down the chatter, yet again.
