Jurassic World isn’t just a successful collection of films, but games, too. It is an immersive management sim that allows you to run your very own dinosaur park. Not only that, but you can unlock a whole roster of different dinosaurs, while letting your imagination run wild or playing scenarios. If you’ve been left wanting more, your call has been answered, with Jurassic World 3 being officially confirmed.
Considering the fact that Jurassic World Evolution and Jurassic World Evolution 2 released three years apart, a new title is due if we are sticking to the same trend.
In what direction will Jurassic World 3 take us?
In a press release, Frontier revealed that the team are working on a new Jurassic World game by saying:
“Following the major success of Jurassic World Evolution and Jurassic World Evolution 2, which released in June 2018 and November 2021 respectively, Frontier and Universal Products & Experiences have signed a licence for a third Jurassic World game.”
This news is hardly surprising, given the fact that Jurassic World Evolution and Jurassic World Evolution 2 rank first and second in Frontier’s game portfolio in terms revenue generated in their first two years. Jurassic World Evolution remains Frontier’s best-selling game to date, even though it launched almost six years ago.
As for when the upcoming title will make its debut, nothing is set in stone, but fans can expect the third instalment of the series to hit storefronts in “Frontier’s financial year 2026 (‘FY26’), between 1 June 2025 and 31 May 2026.”
There’s a long wait ahead of us and there are a lot of unanswered questions. Will the third entry continue the Evolution franchise? Will it be playable on last-generation consoles? However, we can be assured that the current game will continue to receive updates and DLC packs.
