Character customisation is important to many RPG players and if you’ve spent a considerable amount of time in the character creator menu, you’ll want to flaunt your appearance out in the world. As you begin unlocking helmets, you’ll see that they do a good job at defending your head and completely hiding your face. It’s understandable if you want to hide your helmet in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
Although a helmet improves your defence stats, it can take the life out of your character’s look while you embark on this unique adventure.
How to remove your helmet in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Unfortunately, there’s no way to hide your helmet in Dragon’s Dogma 2, not even during cutscenes. The absence of this option is certainly strange, considering the fact that it has become a standard setting in games of this genre.
If you really can’t stand roaming around with your face covered, you can manually take your helmet off. However, your stats will take a hit if you decide to do so.
All you have to do to remove your helmet is go to the head armour tab, select the helmet your character is wearing, and click the option to remove it. Repeat these steps to place your helmet back on your head if you choose to do so.
A setting which allows you to remove your helmet may be implemented in Dragon’s Dogma 2 later down the line. With that being said, it doesn’t seem to be a priority for the developers at this time.
Capcom has apologised to PC players who have been experiencing numerous issues since launch. This includes performance, crashes, and the lack of an option for Steam users to be able to restart the game.
