It has been announced that Pokemon TV will be shutting down in March, 2024. At this moment in time, it is unclear whether or not The Pokemon Company has plans for a new and improved platform for all things Pokemon.

Pokemon TV has been around since 2010 as the platform for fans of the franchise to be able to engage with animated Pokemon series, films and more exclusive content.

The Pokemon Company has issued a statement on their decision to shut down Pokemon TV which reads:

“Thank you to all our fans who have enjoyed Pokémon TV over the years. The Pokémon TV app and website will sunset and the service will end on March 28, 2024. Beginning on January 8, 2024, fans will no longer be able to download the Pokémon TV app from the App Store, Google Play, Roku Channel Store, Amazon Appstore, Nintendo eShop, and Pokemon.com.”

Although the app has been delisted, those who downloaded it on their devices before January 8, 2024, will still be able to watch available content until the app shuts down for good on March 28, 2024.

The discontinuation of Pokemon TV may be a devastating loss for Trainers. Not only was the service free to access, but it acted as the home for Pokemon content all in one place.
