Dying Light: The Beast released in September to high acclaim. If you’ve already completed Kyle Crane’s story, the latest Dying Light: The Beast update offers a new incentive to dive back into the zombie-ridden world.

Below, you’ll find the key content additions that have been made in the Dying Light: The Beast patch notes, which include the launch of New Game+ and Legend Levels.

Dying Light: The Beast update (November 27)

When you enter Dying Light: The Beast New Game+ all gear, weapons and character progression from your first playthrough will be carried over. Enemy difficulty is also increased, but you’ll find higher-tier weapons and loot to match the raised difficulty. New Game+ can be repeated multiple times, and each completed run continues to bump up the game’s difficulty level and unlocks access to even stronger and rarer weapons, along with the toughest enemies Castor Woods has to throw at you.

Legend Levels arrive from previous entries in the Dying Light franchise as an end-game progression system that extends your character beyond the main skill tree. Once you reach Level 15, all earned XP is converted into Legend XP. Higher difficulty settings and completing higher New Game+ tiers increases the amount of XP awarded.

Each Legend Level grants Legend Points that you can spend on passive upgrades such as increased health, better combat stats, and stronger Beast Mode performance. Every level raises your maximum health by a fixed percentage, useful for staying competitive in higher New Game+ tiers. There are fresh rewards to unlock, which are 22 new weapons (melee and firearms, including vintage guns), 2 complete outfits (12 gear pieces) and new legendary vehicle skins.

Elsewhere in the Dying Light: The Beast update are new finishers, the introduction of ray tracing support, as well as bug fixes and game improvements.
