Dinkum is a cosy life simulator that is set on an island inspired by the wild Australian outback. If you need weekend plans, Dinkum has got you covered with a free access period.
Releasing in Early Access in 2022, Dinkum has continued to receive content updates, crossovers and bug fixes. The experience continues to be built upon as developer James Bendon, expands existing activities and acts on community feedback.
The start of a new story
If you are yet to try Dinkum or it has been on your wishlist for a while, the free weekend is the best opportunity to give the game a go. The free trial period will begin on April 3, at 5pm UTC and end on April 7, 2025 at 5pm UTC. During this time, Dinkum will get 20% slashed off its price tag, so you can pick the game up at a discounted price if you enjoy the free weekend.
If you purchase the game after the free event period, the progress you made will carry over as long as your save data is still available by having Steam Cloud enabled.

With the amount of content in Dinkum, you’ll always have something to do. Whether that’s tending to your crops and animals, developing your town to attract visitors, or fighting off enemy creatures, there’s never a dull day on the island.
What makes Dinkum stand out from other farming simulators is the fact that it supports multiplayer co-op that allows your friends to do more than just visit your town. Your friends can help you construct buildings, spend money on your high street, wind down with a spot of fishing and more.
