As the release date for Blade Chimera draws closer, Nintendo Switch owners can pre-order the cyberpunk metroidvania via the eShop.
You are Shin, who is going on a journey to uncover the truth of your forgotten past. After teaming up with a Lux, (a demon with the ability to shapeshift into a sword and manipulate time,) you begin a quest to learn what happened to you and your loved ones.
As the Demon Sword, Lux can perform powerful attacks and shield you from harm. Moreover, Lux can be used as a platform and even restore objects that were once lost. As Shin defeats demons and levels up, new skills can be unlocked through a skill tree, meaning Lux isn’t the only useful weapon in your arsenal.
Slashing the price first, demons second
Those who pre-order Blade Chimera by January 15, 2025 on the Nintendo Switch eShop will be able to take advantage of a 10% discount.
Fans who already own the digital versions of other Team Ladybug titles on the Nintendo Switch (Touhou Luna Nights, Record of Lodoss War -Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth-, and/or DRAINUS) will be able to enjoy an even bigger discount of 20% off. This does not apply to owners of physical releases.
On Steam, Blade Chimera will also be added to the Team Ladybug Bundle, and there will be a launch sale upon release. The original soundtrack will even be released on Valve’s storefront for music enjoyers.
No matter what platform you’re on, there’s a lot to look forward to. The game map is described as being “far larger than past Team Ladybug projects,” packed with side quests that expand your horizons.
Blade Chimera will launch on Nintendo Switch and Steam on January 16, 2025.
